Jem says

Tipping over into the second half track 7 is called “Love Ain’t Enough (Sometimes)” and is the break-up song to end all break-up songs. It’s co-written with Rachel Kenedy whose dreamy lead vocal floats effortlessly over the track. Sam Ayres makes up the numbers with the guilty pleasure guitar chord hitting hard at the end. Both Rachel and Sam are two fifths of studio band Fuse Box City alongside Jem.

A bit about me:

I play drums with Thurston Moore and Róisín Murphy. As well as live I’m on Thurston’s singles Cease Fire and MX Liberty, and the last two albums Spirit Counsel and By The Fire. I’ve toured with Róisín’s band for 7 years, and I’m involved in a lot of psych-rock, free improvised stuff in London too.

All that means I’ve met very distinctive and powerful musicians. So I made an album featuring all of them. It’s called Perfect Picture – I’m set to release it song by song over the course of a year as a sort of serialisation and journey that slowly reveals itself: who’s playing what where, imagery, social media kookiness.
