It was a cold February morning, and I hadn’t slept the night before. I went to my old keyboard that I’ve played since I was 3 and this sudden melody kept repeating itself in my brain (the verse). As soon as I played some chords, the rest was history. While creating this song, I was listening to heavy shoe-gaze but it was too slow for me. I wanted Twilight Zone to feel like an upbeat wave of dreaminess. On a surface level, the song just feels like some space thing. But I think there’s a message that everyone will relate to. We’re all isolated right now due to the grueling pandemic. But there’s always an escape. When people listen to Twilight Zone, I want them to find peace from isolation.a
