What is your earliest memory connected to music?
I think it was me playing some preset-demos on a Yamaha keyboard and jamming to it
How did your passion for creating music begin?
when i was 15 I found my mothers acoustic guitar & started playing
What’s the story behind your current music project?
talking about my album „Antidote“, which is actually a statement against the music industry & the limitations within. I realized that I compromised my sound and even the songs for getting some editorial playlist attention, as an example. And I wanted to free myself from this tendencies and with „Antidote“ I did what I felt in that period of time without any compromise
How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
Soulful, warm and catchy + always good for something unexpected.
What is one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?
Maybe to listen to what you as a creator like to do and feel to do, rather than trying to make music for the audience. I feel that changes alot.
What tools, instruments, or software are essential in your creative process?
Logic x as a DAW and my semi acoustic jazz guitar (which is played on 98% of my tracks)
Which indie artist or song are you loving right now?
MRCY, great voice and nice production
How have your personal experiences influenced your music and artistic vision?
Alot I guess. I can say that limitation can lead into a new level of creativity. You need input to get output. So I guess personal experience is essential & always reflected within you art.
What emotions or messages do you hope listeners take from your work?
Since I do mostly instrumental music I hope the people feel the dedication and genuinity within my music
What’s the most important lesson music has taught you so far?
Hard to say, but recently I realized that its the feel and articulation which makes the music alive. Its not about the notes and rhythm alone.
What is a dream venue or festival you would love to perform at?
Hurricane festival maybe
If you could collaborate with any artist, past or present, who would it be and why?
Probably I need to say John Frusciante. Because he is a great artist & has always been influential on my playing, for me he is an honest artist with a great sense for strong melodies. But there are alot of legends Id like to collaborate with. Guru from Gangstarr or Jimi Hendrix, Mozart, Dangelo, Yuseff Dayes…..
