What’s the story behind your latest release?

Territory is the latest release and it focusses on those who must leave what they know in search of a better life/ better life chances.   There is a clear message regarding ‘reap what you sow’ as in hard work eventually pays off but may take a while!

How work for you the recording process, is something that you made at your own ?

I gain inspiration from living – there is no set way for me to know when a melody or a set of words are going to come into my mind.  I do have a way of knowing if the hook is good enough as I do not write the words down straight away anymore, but if I can recall the words in a few days times then it is something worth remembering!

Another method I use derives from playing the beats and getting a feel for what it wants me to say – that is how I wrote 6 of my tracks.

How would you describe your sound?

I am an Indie artist who likes to incorporate different genres into my sounds e.g. pop  I enjoy writing some lyrics /phrases in French or Spanish and adding that to an otherwise English vocal.

What’s one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

Be true to yourself and  what you stand for.  Do not try to imitate an already established artist – there is literally no point.

What tools or software do you rely on in your studio?

I do not create the beats, but I know what I am looking for once I hear it.  Quite often I will have a sound in my head which gives me some guidance at the beginning.

What’s one song from another indie artist that you love right now?

Tiger Lily – George Ezra

What’s next for you? Any upcoming releases or shows?

Next release will be called ‘I know’.   I will continue writing lyrics that listeners can relate to – living is not easy, so always good to know that others are experiencing something similar.

No concrete plans to play live as of yet.

Where can our listeners follow your music?

All main platforms – Apple Music, Spotify, Anghami

Thank you
