What’s the story behind your latest release?

A lot of people think it’s a love story—and I get that—but for me, it’s really about music. Music is something that lives in your dashboard, something you carry with you every day. But every now and then, you take it out and recreate unforgettable moments with it. That’s what this release means to me—it’s a celebration of music itself.

How do you feel the reception of your music by Norwegians?

To be honest, I don’t feel a strong reception. And when there is some, it often feels hidden or reserved. Norway is a small country, and people can be selective about who they let into their circles. Coming from the U.S. with a sound that’s quite different, I know it can seem a bit foreign to them. But I stay true to my style and believe the right ears will connect with it in time.

How would you describe your sound?

It’s happy and bouncy, yet smooth and soulful at the same time. When needed, I can bring a little edge too. My sound lives in the space between joy and emotion—something you can dance to, but also feel deeply.

What’s one thing you’ve learned that completely changed the way you make music?

Becoming self-reliant has completely shifted the way I create. In Norway, it’s not always easy to find the resources or collaborators that match your vision, so I learned to take charge of the full production process. That independence gave me creative freedom I never knew I needed.

What tools or software do you rely on in your studio?

I mostly use GarageBand and Logic Pro. They give me the flexibility to sketch ideas quickly and also go deep when I need to fine-tune the details.

What’s one song from another indie artist that you love right now?

Anna of the North. Even though she has industry support, she’s still very hands-on with her music and social media. I really respect that blend of authenticity and creativity.

What’s next for you? Any upcoming releases or shows?

Yes! I’ve got a few local shows coming up here in Norway, and I’m also working on a new album. There’s a lot in the pipeline, and I’m excited to share more soon.
