The pop song tackles the subject of anxiety and self defeating thoughts. It builds up to a punchy dance chorus leading to a catchy post-chorus with robotic modified vocals reminiscent of late 90’s pop bands like “Daft Punk”.

Police Voleur are a Lebanese electro pop band formed by Scarlett Saad and Kristian Abouanni in March 2020 during Lockdown.

It was very clear to the duet that this “Time Out” imposed by “Covid-19” might be their only chance to finally work on their own music, now that they have no distractions. And just like that, “Police Voleur” was born, in the heart of a pandemic, not only as a diversion or a survival tool, but also as a lifelong dream coming true.

The band’s sound is alternative dream-pop inspired, a mix of western music and Lebanese lyrics. Although their esthetic is quite playful, the band’s songs range from very mellow to super fun and upbeat. Just like playing as children; There’s happiness, excitement, anger and dispute.. But if it isn’t fun, why play in the first place?
