“This is the best thing that I have heard with my 24 ears” — Ark Ra Gulab, Tau Ceti e.
Whilst Piercing the Beautiful Blue Halo will be released on December 21, 2021 on Earth, due to
the physical limitation of the speed of light, the expected release nearest-galaxy dates won’t
occur for another 2.5 million years. In the meantime, Earthlings can enjoy early access to the
album before their fellow Andromedeans.
Piercing the Beautiful Halo is an 8 song conceptual album about the travels of a space explorer
from the galaxy Triagulum visiting Earth. It is an album in the traditional sense: each song is an
important sum of the whole, and it was created as, and is meant to be listened to as a whole
piece.
The music is electronic, however the styling is unordinary. Blue Sky Alive music influences
draws from the gamut: from the beautiful synth melodies of Vangelis and the spacey movements
of old Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, and Hans Zimmer, to the hypnotic beats of Boards
of Canada, Techno and DubStep, and the refinement of Jon Hopkins and Max Cooper. One
could consider this an electronic Space Odyssey, and take the word of the composer, “it is not
corny!”
Blue Sky Alive is basically one guy who spent his non-music life sacrificing his body as a bullet
shield for important people, hunting down real cyberpunks, and finding spies; but who really
wants to just create musical pieces for geeks to enjoy. He finds Earth listeners the hardest to
crack, and believes there has to be a slice of music affianadoes that would spare an hour to
listen to and enjoy Piercing the Beautiful Blue Halo
